On various occasions I receive photographs and stories from town residents, or descendants of town residents, about specific locations or buildings.

If anyone has information and photographs they would like to share, I would appreciate your contacting me.

SHUTE FAMILY FARM
East Greenwich Twp.

July 2007: Photographs of house and barn of the Shute family (above). This property has been farmed by Shutes for nearly 200 years and was farmed until recently by Harold Shute. These will soon be demolished (if they have not already been) for a senior community called Gatherings At East Greenwich.

My great grandfather (Samuel Sharp Shute born 22 Dec 1843 - died 22 Dec 1921) and great grandmother (Hannah Ann Clement Shute born 02 Dec 1844 - died 02 Jul 1911) raised 8 children in the house, including my grandfather (James Seldon Shute - born 19 Mar 1880 - died 19 Mar 1956).
